Walls

Our locally quarried Squamish Basalt stone walls are hand-picked and chiseled so that each stone fits tightly for long lasting structural integrity. Zero concrete or mortar are used to create our timeless and permeable walls that are highly resistant to the harsh freeze/thaw cycles. No leaching mortar, no repointing crumbled joints in years to come! Just well fitted stones aging gracefully and blending with the landscape. Walls built using these techniques still stand in Europe dating back to 7,000BC. Iā€™m not so sure the current trend of architectural concrete walls will age quite so gracefully, but we do hope our Basalt walls will!
